How to Access and Edit Google Business Profile

Important: Certain features to manage your Business Profile may differ between Google Maps and Search, and the operating system.
If you own or manage a business, you can create and edit a free Business Profile for customers to find on Google Maps and Search. Sign up to create or claim a Business Profile.
After you verify a Business Profile, you can make changes to your profile wherever it appears, like on Google Search and the Maps mobile app.
You can:
- Edit your profile: Easily update your business information, adjust your hours, or add a menu.
- Promote your business: Add photos or updates to stand out on Google.
- Connect with your customers: Connect with your customers by responding to reviews and questions.
Who can manage a Business Profile on Search and Maps
Important: If you were recently verified or added to a Business Profile as an owner or manager, it might take 14 days before you get options to manage the profile directly on Google. In the meantime, you can use Business Profile Manager.
You cannot manage a business marked "Permanently closed" on Search and Maps. You must use the Business Profile Manager to mark the business open.
Who can manage a Business Profile: People with owner and manager permissions for the Business Profile.
Who can’t manage a Business Profile: People with site manager permissions.
Tip: When a Business Profile is managed on Search and Maps, Google may still update it using a variety of sources, such as user reports and licensed content.
Manage your Business Profile on Google Search using Android, Desktop, iPhone and iPad
1. Desktop
To manage your profile directly on Google Search:
- Sign in to the Google Account you use to manage your Business Profile.
- To find your Business Profile, search on Google for your exact business name. You can also search for “my business.”
- If needed, to manage your Business Profile, select View profile.
- In the menu above the search results, choose Edit profile, Promote, or Customers.
2. Android
To manage your profile directly on the Google Maps app:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app

- Sign in to the Google Account you use to manage your Business Profile.
- To open your Business Profile, in the top right, tap Account Circle
Your Business Profile.
- Choose from the available options, like Edit or Add photo.
3. iPhone/Ipad
To manage your profile directly on the Google Maps app:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app
- Sign in to the Google Account you use to manage your Business Profile.
- To open your Business Profile, in the top right, tap Account Circle
- Choose from the available options, like Edit or Add photo.
Stop managing your Business Profile
You can add or remove other owners and managers from a profile, or remove a business from your account:
- Add or transfer profile management: Add other owners and managers.
- Remove a business from your Google Account:
- If the business is still open, you can remove the Business Profile from your account. The business is only removed from your account, not from Google Maps or Search.
- If the business is closed, before you remove it from your account, you can mark a business as permanently closed.
