Designing a Bold Identity for Africa’s Premier Agri-Tech Summit
We developed a timeless and visually compelling event logo for the ACAT 2023 Summit, aligning innovation in agriculture with strong, memorable branding. The identity captured both the spirit of technology and the resilience of African farming.
The Challenge
The African Conference on Agricultural Technology (ACAT) Summit required a distinctive visual identity that could stand alongside its continental significance.
As a high-level platform bringing together policymakers, scientists, and agricultural stakeholders, the logo needed to communicate innovation, resilience, and impact while remaining aligned with the AATF brand.
At the same time, the design had to reflect the milestone of AATF’s 20-year journey, making it both celebratory and forward-looking without appearing overly complex or dated.
Our Solution
We approached the design with a focus on clarity, symbolism, and longevity. Drawing from the AATF brand guidelines, we crafted a logo that balanced modern typography with subtle agricultural and technological cues.
The visual direction emphasized growth, transformation, and connectivity—key themes of the summit—while maintaining simplicity for versatility across digital and print platforms. Careful attention was given to color harmony and typography to ensure the final mark remained consistent with AATF’s identity while still standing out as a unique event brand.
Results
The final logo delivered a strong and recognizable identity for the ACAT 2023 Summit, reinforcing its position as a leading agricultural technology forum in Africa. It enhanced event visibility across promotional materials and created a cohesive brand presence that resonated with diverse stakeholders.
The design also contributed to the success of the “AATF at 20” celebrations, offering a visual symbol that honored past achievements while projecting innovation into the future.
